About

Hi, I'm Julie. I am a self-taught watercolor artist from the South Bay.  I use a variety of mediums, but mostly I use watercolor and gouache. I never went to art school, but I learned from other artists I follow on YouTube and Instagram.

Since the start of the pandemic, I’ve been able to focus on my art and hone my craft. I paint for enjoyment, to be in the moment, and to fulfill my artistic craving. My art is heavily influenced by nature, particularly flowers. I don't draw or sketch out my paintings ahead of time - instead I paint freely allowing my brush guide me along the way.

By day, I work as an early childhood educator teaching two-year-old's, a role that I've held for 14 years. It's not an easy job but it is rewarding. In the midst of the daily hustle and bustle, painting keeps me relaxed and gives me a sense of peace.

The vision for The Introverted Palette is to turn my artwork digital into many mediums such as clothing, canvas prints, fashion accessories and much more. One day when we grow more, I want to give back to students and classrooms that need art supplies.

Thank you for visiting and supporting my art. Please share for all your friends and loved ones.
